There are many ways to buy wines, depending on the type of wines you want to buy. Below are the following ways to buy wines.
- Wine Merchants
- These are people who specialize in wine only and are the best place to look for when buying wines because they import only quality wines. They also provide professional service in choosing the type of wine for you.
- They may have their own website or a shop house that sells only wine.
- Supermarkets
- Supermarkets offer alots of variety of wines with different types of prices and quality. It is a perfect place to buy wine for everday drinking.
- Warehouses
- Idea for buying a large number of the same type of wine
Checking out their storage of wine
When buying wine, always check how do these shops store their wine as improper storage of wine could spoil the wine very easily. Here are a few tips :
- Avoid buying wine that is stored upright as over the years the cork will get dried up and shrink allowing the wine to oxidised. This is due to the wine not being in contact with the cork when stored in a vertical position.
- Avoid buying wine bottles which have cork coming out , sticky and being display under sunlight or any other lights as these means that it has been exposed to changes in temperature.
- If the level of wine is near or under the shoulder of the bottles, it means that the wine has already been evaporated ( there is a leakage ).
Other ways to buy wines

Buying at an Auction : Buying wines from other people. These wines are usually rare and of high quality.
