Technologies used in making New World Wines

            Modern technologies are also applied in the making of New World wines after their grapes are being harvested.
            Wines in Oak Barrel
            In traditional wines, the fermented grape juices are left in oak barrels to improve its quality. These oak barrels don’t last long and need to be replaced after a few usage. New World wine maker have more freedom and thus they used cheaper alternatives like oak chips and inner staves (wooden oak sticks ).
            Refrigeration
            Harvested grapes are kept in good conditions away from external temperature through refrigeration. Hence allowing vineyards and wine producers do not need to be in close proximity with each other.
            Controling Oxidation
            Modern wine makers use devices like Microbullage to control oxidation.
            Adding additives
            These wine makers are allowed to add their own additive to enhance its wines.
            Corking Wines
            All wines usually are stopper with corks. However, these cork emit weird smells. New World Wines are able to used other alternatives like plastic as a stopper or even bottle caps which is now seen in small bottled wines.
