The First Wine

It is not clearly known who invented wine since it is formed from the natural process of fermentation. This make it easy for wine to be formed if anyone accidentally leave behind some grape juice and attempt to taste it before it turn sour. Researchers believe that the earliest wine marker in the stone age simply left this juice and graph residue in a indentation in a rock and simnply drunk it before it turn sour.

 

 

Oldest bottle of wine in the world. Found in a vineyard at Germany. Dates from about 325 A.D and found in 1867. The bottle is on display at History Museum of the Pfalz .

 

 

     The phrase 'who invented wine' may sound wierd to people as they are more likely to say 'who discovered wine'. However as wine is a chemical process from grapes, it is more approriate to state that wine is invented.
